Southside Partnership Training Network provides adult and community education opportunities, general skill and occupation specific courses, career counselling and development of CV preparation for targeted individuals and communities in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown.
This programme is designed to provide community based education programmes that are designed to meet the needs of local people and are provide in an informal, non-threatening setting. Many of these courses are run in partnership with the DDL ETB.
English for Migrant Women:
Our English classes are held in different locations across Dun Laoghaire Rathdown. These classes are friendly and informal, designed to meet the needs of both new arrivals and those who have been attending for some time. We offer beginners English, intermediate English, English conversation and networking opportunities for women attending.
Through our IT training team and the Benefit IV Computer Training programme we offer a range of computer courses from beginners to advanced classes. These classes are open to all ages.
In partnership with the DDLETB we offer a number of accredited training courses in our local community centres including Level 5 Care of the Older Person in Sallynoggin; Level 5 Early Childhood Care and Education in Ballybrack, (contact Gina Hogan gina.hogan@sspshipie) Level 4 Computer Applications in Mounttown and Level 3 Internet Skills in Mounttown.
Women in Lifelong Learning:
The women in lifelong learning programme is an interactive, part-time programme specifically designed for WOMEN in receipt of a social welfare payment to develop new skills, increase confidence and support career planning in preparation to return to education training and/or employment. The programme will start in mid-September 2016.
