We’ve held recently our annual Coffee morning in aid of Harold Cross & Blackrock Hospice.
We held this in memory of one of the community mothers, Ger Tansey, who passed away recently. Ger was a volunteer for many years and was renowned in the community for all her hard work.
This fundraiser was an amazing demonstration of community spirit with many different groups coming together.
Despite not hosting an ‘actual’ coffee morning this year due to the Covid restrictions we managed to more than double last year’s total through online and outdoor collections.
Volunteers took turns to collect outside the Project Centre for the week-long event and it proved to be a huge success.
The local community were delighted to be able to contribute and connect safely and plans are afoot for further group efforts.
