On the 19th of October 2022, the SSP-Craft Group at the Ballybrack Community Resource Centre handed over 75 shoeboxes to Team Hope for their Christmas shoe box appeal. Team Hope is an Irish, Christian, and child-focused international development organisation. For the past 12 years they have worked in Africa and Eastern Europe to help children affected by poverty or marginalisation. Each shoe box was full of handpicked items for all different age groups 2-14yrs, carefully wrapped and labelled with love.
Each box contained: A facecloth, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, pencils, copies, rubbers, colouring pencils, markers, hat, scarf, gloves, t-shirt, toy, underwear, socks, and sweet treats. We are extremely proud to be a part of this as it’s such a great cause. Collection of items are already beginning for next year!
