Southside Partnership DLR is a company limited by guarantee with charitable status.  It is run by a voluntary Board of Directors drawn from a number of sectors. It is subject to detailed written guidelines covering policy, procedure and financial management.  In addition to independent financial auditing the Partnership is subject to Internal Audits by some of its funders.

The Board of Directors appoints a number of Sub-Committees. The current Sub-Committees include:

  • Finance and Operations which includes HR
  • Audit and Risk
  • Nominations

Membership of the Sub-Committee is drawn from the Board of Directors with individuals with expertise co-opted in an advisory capacity. The role of Sub-Committees is to inform policy at Board level. They also have responsibility for ensuring that Company Policy is adhered to.

Charitable Purpose

The main object (purpose) for which the Company is established is: –

  • To promote social inclusion through community initiatives and through inputting as required into policy formulation at the local and national levels.

Charities Regulatory Authority (CRA) Governance Code

The code outlines a set of standards which a Charity should achieve to ensure effective management and control of the organisation. The Southside Partnership DLR Board confirms that Southside Partnership DLR is compliant with the Governance Code having completed the Governance Code Compliance Record and approved the record at its September 2025 Board meeting. The record will be updated and reviewed annually to evidence compliance with the code.

Regulation of Lobbying Act 2015

Southside Partnership DLR is registered as a lobbyist in line with the Regulation of Lobbying Act 2015 and makes returns to the Lobbying Regulator every four months.
