Southside Partnerships Pre-Employment supports (funded through the Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme) provide one-to-one guidance and training to help people reach their potential and achieve their goals.

We provide the following FREE services to unemployed or low-income workers:

  • One-to-one support in finding employment and information on further education or training.
  • Help and information to overcome barriers to employment.
  • Information on job vacancies, social welfare payments and government supported employment programmes.
  • Assistance with job applications, CV supports and interview preparation.
  • Free training workshops on a variety of topics selected in response to what people are asking for.

In general, you must be unemployed or in receipt of a Social Welfare payment and living in Dún Laoghaire Rathdown. We also support low-income workers and those coming from non-working households.

Whether you’re looking for full-time employment or planning to start your own business, LAES offers tailored guidance to help you reach your goals. Our team provides one-to-one support, training opportunities, and access to local employers, ensuring you have the tools and confidence to succeed.

Becoming self-employed can open new doors. It can give you the chance to use your skills, create your own opportunities and have more control over your time and your life. But while starting a business can be exciting it can also feel a bit daunting. That’s why we’re here, to support you if you want to move from unemployment into self-employment.

Community Employment (CE) is a programme that helps people who are long-term unemployed, or who face other challenges, to get back into work.

With CE, you can take up a part-time placement (19.5 hours per week) in a local community or voluntary group. You can also take up other part-time work at the same time if you wish.
